One of the biggest problems that Old Souls face in life, is finding love!
Old souls have a deep sense of wisdom, truth and authenticity. Deep inside they feel old and wise no matter what their biological age is. Their soul has been around for a long time and acquired wisdom and sense for the truth by observing the world from different aspects capturing a glimpse from its essence.
1. They have a strong sense of identity.
They want to be in a relationship that encourages authenticity. They know who they are so they don’t want to pretend or change in any way. This makes the number of potential prospects to choose wisely really small.
2. Left unchecked, their hyper-intuitiveness can wreck relationships.
They are deeply sensitive therefore they tend to overthink things. Their capacity to worry and make assumptions can break relationships that don’t have a perfectly strong foundation.
3. Many are in the throes of twin flame relationships.
They attached to someone who isn’t their ‘forever’ person. It’s rather a connection meant to teach and help them grow.
4. They often have a greater purpose that must be attended to first – one that love would distract them from.
Generally old souls have a lot to accomplish before they find love. When old souls love they love deeply. Being given love too soon, would keep them from other important things they were meant to do.
5. While many people can bring them passion, few can bring them compatibility.
Since they feel so deep, and people find their ideas fascinating, it’s easy to attract attention, yet finding someone to be your best friend, sincerest confidant and also lover, is quite a challenge.
6. They’re less inclined to go out and meet people the modern way.
Old souls don’t do online dating or random hookups at bars. They don’t find blind dates appealing either. Dating is inherently exhausting to an older-spirited person.
7. They’re natural healers, and often attract people who need help, not love.
An old soul loves being able to help someone who truly needs it. However they should at some point realize that they have to choose a partner, not a student or a charity case.
8. Their standards are very high.
Old souls expect big things from themselves, and from their partners. While this is a good thing, it’s another quality that needs to be kept in check. It’s more important to learn to accept qualities that aren’t crucial to the relationship, than to just write off a person because of a few dissimilarities.
9. They have baggage.
People who cultivate their inner self do so for a reason: they probably had to cope, grow or learn from some challenging experience life has served them. While this is a good thing on its own, unresolved issues can often come up and ruffle some feathers in close relationships.
10. They feel fear as intensely as they feel love.
The love old souls have for someone is equal to the fear of losing them, and of not being good enough. They don’t just love intently, they feel everything else intently too. This could get in the way of a really good thing.
